Process Technologies Group, Inc. and
Unified Solutions, Inc. announce agreement to develop new XML database
solution for IMPAX TSS Shop Floor Control
Including links to Unified's e-Insight ERP
application
March 14, 2003,
Tucker, GA - Process Technologies Group,
Inc., Addison, IL and Unified Solutions, Inc., Tucker, GA, announce
an agreement to develop a database option using XML technology for the
IMPAX TSS shop floor monitors. This is in addition to the current Excel
spreadsheets used by the IMPAX system.
"Using a data collection solution such as the
IMPAX TSS allows us to immediately reach into the shop floor and collect
real time data for our e-Insight ERP application, which is focused on
the fastener manufacturer. We do not have to invent this process ourselves.
It will allow companies to have a better return on their investments
by joining forces and providing a turn-key shop floor control solution,"
according to Pete Ashby, President of Unified Solutions. "We will
be using XML to provide the link into our e-Insight ERP application.
By using a standard like XML, we can provide a method for working with
other solutions easily."
Ed Evensen, Vice President of Process Technologies
Group says "Unified Solutions' e-Insight ERP product focuses on
the manufacturing environment, very much the market where our products
work. We complement each others products nicely. Their product can accept
data streaming from our units and will allow them to update production
information. It reduces the need to re-key data and therefore productivity
is improved."
The companies estimate that a fully functional module
will be released by the National Industrial Fastener Show/East in Orlando,
FL in May.
